Platelet Rich Plasma

Platelets contain numerous growth factors that help accelerate your bodies natural ability to heal.

What is prolozone?

Ozone therapy utilizes a form of oxygen (ozone gas) to address inflammation, disinfect wounds, and activate a person’s immune system. Ozone is natural to the Earth’s atmosphere, and the properties that cause ozone to quickly break down enable it to be a powerful healing agent. Dr. Moffitt uses this as an enhancer to aid in improving results by 10-15%, this is not used as a stand alone approach, each therapy below includes ozone injections.

What is dextrose prolotherapy?

Prolotherapy works by injecting a highly concentrated dextrose solution at the tendon and ligament attachment sites. The resulting controlled inflammation will naturally stimulate the body to begin the healing process. We like to refer to this as a flagging system for the body to come pay attention to the area of injury.

Most people require three to six procedures every four to six weeks.

What is platelet rich plasma therapy?

Platelet rich plasma (PRP) works by injecting a biological concentrate of your own platelets, called an atologous tissue graft, into the damaged area. The graft is embedded into your damaged or diseased tissue to stimulate recovery.

To obtain the injectate, we draw your blood, similar to a routine blood test, and place it in a special centrifuge machine. This machine creates a tissue pellet of platelets, rich in growth factors and inflammatory mediators essential for healing wounds.

The PRP graft contains up to six times the concentration of your own platelets and growth factors and helps accelerate tissue repair and regeneration.

Most people require two to four procedures every two to six weeks.
